Botanical Description

Kohl rabi is an erect, biennial plant derived in cultivation from the wild cabbage. It has a highly shortened stem base that is fleshy and globose. It can grow about 45cm tall. The plant is often cultivated for its edible swollen stem which can be available almost all year round from successional sowings.
