Ribes × nidigrolaria is an unarmed, deciduous shrub growing up to 180cm tall. Jostaberry is a complex hybrid species, produced by crossing the blackcurrant (Ribes nigrum) with the gooseberry (Ribes uva-crispa) and the American gooseberry (Ribes divaricatum).
