Pilosocereus catingicola is a spiny, succulent, shrubby or tree-like cactus with columnar stems around 3 - 12cm in diameter; branching from above the base it can grow 3 - 10 metres tall[ 1987 Title The Cactus Family Publication Author Anderson E.F.
