Botanical Description

Pandanus solmslaubachii is an evergreen tree with a much-branched crown; it usualy grows around 6 - 10 metres tall, occasionally reaching 20 metres. The main trunk can be up to 8 metres tall, around 20cm in diameter, with spiny conical nodules (warty) and often with dense, erect adventitious rootlets. Few to many prop roots are produced.
