Botanical Description

Dracaena jayniana is an evergreen tree, always branched at the base to form a cluster of 3 - 5 stems around 5 - 8 metres tall and around 10cm in diameter. The leaves are produced in dense terminal clusters at the end of the stems. The plant is harvested from the wild for local use of its resin. It is grown as an ornamental. Dracaena jayniana has a very limited range in central and northern Thailand, where it is restricted to limestone karsts.
