Lemaireocereus hollianus is a spiny, leafless, evergreen, columnar cactus with an erect stem that can be 4 - 5 metres tall and 5 - 7cm in diameter. Some plants are unbranched, others can produce branches from near the base The plant is harvested from the wild for local use asa food.
