Botanical Description

Meliosma pinnata is an evergreen tree with a narrow crown when young, becoming more wide-spreading with age; it can range considerably in size from a small tree to a large tree that can be over 40 metres tall. The tree can sometimes be deciduous towards the higher limits of its range.
