Plectranthus mandalensis is an erect, annual to short-lived perennial plant The plant is harvested from the wild for local use as a medicine Plectranthus mandalensis has a limited range and is known from only two subpopulations, on Mts Mulanje and Namuli. It is threatened by conversion of land to agriculture and by invasion of alien species.
