Rhodognaphalon brevicuspe is a deciduous tree that can grow 25 - 30 metres tall, exceptionally to 50 metres. The straight, cylindrical bole can be free of branches for more than half its height, and up to 150cm in diameter; it has small winged buttresses up to 150cm high at the base.
