Botanical Description

Lilium speciosum is a herbaceous perennial bulbiferous plant producing a leafy stem around 120cm tall The plant is harvested from the wild for local use as a food and medicine and also for use in commercial cosmetic products. It is often grown as an ornamental in gardens, valued especially for its large, fragrant flowers.
