Botanical Description

Ocotea obtusata is an evergreen tree growing up to 15 metres tall in the lower elevations of its range, but more likely to be a shrub from 3 - 10 metres tall at higher elevations. The tree is harvested from the wild for local use as a source of wood and oil.
