Cultivation Details
HabitEvergreen Tree
GrowthSlow
Prefers a position with some shade, especially when younger[1]. A slow-growing tree, barely reaching a height of 2 metres within 2 years from seed[1]. Trees can flower all year round[1].
Propagation
Seed - best sown as soon as it is ripe in a partially shaded position in a nursery seedbed or in individual containers. A low germination rate can usually be expected, with the seed sprouting within 40 - 60 days[1]. When the seedbed-sown seedlings are 5 - 6cm tall, pot them up into individual containers and they should be ready to plant out 9 - 11 months later[1].
