Litsea mollis is a plant mainly of warm temperate and subtropical areas, though it is also found in northern Thailand (where it is probably naturalized). The leaves and fruits are aromatic when crushed, and resemble the smell of lemon grass (Cymbopogon citratus)[1]. A dioecious species, both male and female forms need to be grown if fruit and seed are required[2].
