Growth—
A plant of tropical and subtropical, fairly dry climates. Mature plants can tolerate some frost[1]. Once established, the plants are drought resistant[1].
Propagation
Seed - easily grown from seed sown in trays kept in a shady area[1]. Water every second day and do not allow the sowing medium to dry out[1]. The seed starts to germinate after about two weeks, after three months the seedlings can be transplanted into larger pots[1]. Cuttings are quite simple, even though these may be lying around on the ground for a month or so before being planted[1].
