Cultivation Details

HabitEvergreen Shrub
Growth—

This species is hardy to about -7°c in Australian gardens[1], though this cannot be applied directly to British gardens due to our cooler summers that often fail to fully ripen new shoots, and our longer, colder and wetter winters[PFAF]. Succeeds in most soils and situations in Australian gardens[1]. Plants often commence flowering when young and before the stems have properly lignified[2]. The plant has been recorded as becoming abundant after a fire.[3]
