Propagation
Seed - stratification is not necessary but can lead to more regular germination[2]. The seed is best sown in a nursery bed as soon as it is ripe[3]. Fresh seed usually germinates in 1 - 3 months at 15°c but stored seed can take longer[3]. When large enough to handle, prick the seedlings out into individual pots and grow them on until large enough to plant out, Cuttings of short side shoots with a heel[4]. High percentage[5]. Rather slow to root[PFAF]. Nodal cuttings are fairly easy[4].
