Styphnolobium japonicum

Styphnolobium japonicum

Family: Fabaceae

Cultivation

Styphnolobium japonicum is very cold hardy, the mature plants tolerating temperatures down to about -25° when fully dormant. Young growth, however, is more tender and can be damaged by moderate frosts when it is young. The plant succeeds in a well-drained moderately fertile soil in full sun.
