Family: Myrtaceae

Cultivation

Homoranthus flavescens is a somewhat cold-hardy species, tolerating winter temperatures occasionally as low as about -7°c in Australia gardens, though it requires hot summers to ripen its wood and the plant would be unhappy in moist winter climates. In Australian gardens this species succeeds in most situations except very shady or very wet. It grows best in a well-drained soil and a position in semi-shade.
