Callicoma serratifolia grows in the warm temperate to subtropical regions of eastern Australia, where it can experience frost and snow. Mature plants can tolerate occasional, short-lived temperatures falling as low as about -7°c, though young plants are more frost-sensitive. Succeeds in a range of soils.
