Family: Elaeocarpaceae
Cultivation
Plants are not very hardy, tolerating occasional short-lived temperatures down to around -10°c. If cut back in severe winters they will often resprout from the sturdier branches. The young growth in spring, even on mature plants, is frost-tender and so it is best to grow the plants in a position sheltered from the early morning sun.
